Our values are simple. Exigency Healthcare Services strives to offer excellent and affordable home health care and community-based social services to individuals and families of San Francisco Peninsula.

It is our goal to employ competent, caring, and well-trained individuals who are responsive to the needs of our patients, their families, and the communities we serve. Each staff member will meet the State of California educational and training requirements for the services they provide. We encourage and support continued education of each service provider. In turn, our agency will provide staff with competitive compensation, an inviting work environment, and knowledgeable, trustworthy management and direction.

Our Business

Exigency Healthcare Services is a familiy owned and operated company. The primary founder, Felixberto O. Matamis, Jr., has a Bachelors Degree in both Occupational Therapy and Nursing. Early in his career, he started as a caregiver in an Intermediate Care Facility before he acquired his Registered Nursing license in 2006. He worked as a case manager in a home health agency from 2006-2014. The co-founder, Karen Panlilio, has an Associate Degree in Administration of Justice. Before she pursued her career in law enforcement, she worked in a medical office as a Phlebotomist and Medical Assistant for 6 years. She also had a prior experience as a Medical Records Clerk in a skilled nursing facility.

All of our caregivers are all employees of Exigency Healthcare Services,  and they are all carefully screened, undergo throughout background checks, are bonded, have third party liability insurance, and are covered by the Worker's Compensation. They all have current First Aid/CPR and participate in an ongoing eldercare-training program. Our screening process is based on hiring only those who we would have in our own home caring for our own parents.

Assistance is available around the clock, seven days per week.    

Regular office hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. However, requests for urgent service will be handled at any time.
